- 2 (21-ounce) cans apple pie filling
- 1 box spice cake mix
- Ingredients for cake
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Instructions

Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray; add pie filling.

In a bowl mix prepare cake mix as directed. Add pumpkin pie spice and stir.

Spread batter over pie filling. Place a paper towel over slow cooker; then place lid over. Cook on HIGH about 3 1/2 hours. Serve warm with caramel sauce and whipped cream if desired.

I don't consider this a dump cake when you have to make cake mix as directed. Dump cakes are just 'that', dump everything out of can/box as is, then stick it in the oven.
