Wow, this sounds decadent. I am not a huge sour cream fan. I was wondering if you thought I could use cream cheese instead? We love the flavor, and I know I would like it better without the sour cream, but I am not sure how that might turn out as far as consistency and flavor goes.

Hi SissieSass, I think cream cheese would be too thick and you wouldn't get the right consistency. A good substitute would be either Greek yogurt or buttermilk plus butter.
