I know that this recipe calls for sour cream, but I was wondering if it were possible to swap this ingredient out for cream cheese. While I like sour cream in baked dishes, I prefer to use cream cheese. I love the taste and the texture it gives to sweet casseroles, cakes, and strudels. I am just not sure about the substitution. This recipe just screams summer party! I think I am going to have to try this for my Dad's birthday, we are throwing him a small family party in mine and my partners first home, it's the first time I am not in my old family home for it so we thought we would start a new tradition so hopefully this cake can be part of this tradition, especially seen as my Dad loves coconut and pineapple)
