Pork and Beans Casserole
This dish couldn't get any porkier. Pork and Beans Casserole is made with ground pork, a can of pork and beans, and bacon. It's portable, too, so it's a great dish to bring to potlucks. Because there's so much pork, it could easily be a main dish. If you already have a main course, this could also act as a side dish on steroids. It goes well with cornbread and other summer barbeque fare.

This is an excellent version of a family favorite casserole! The sweet bell pepper and hot peppers add a wonderful flavor, and with both pork ingredients the dish is full of protein. I always serve cornbread with beans to ensure the amino acids that make a nutritiously complete protein. My grandchildren like a bit of sweet barbecue sauce or maple syrup added.
