4-Ingredient Biscuits and Gravy Casserole
This shortcut version of the Southern classic comes in the convenient form of a casserole!
This 4-Ingredient Biscuits and Gravy Casserole is one of the 4-ingredient recipes that can be delicious for breakfast or for dinner. It requires just four ingredients: sausage, refrigerated biscuits, flour and milk. This is basically a meal that cooks itself. There is a layer of biscuits on the bottom that soak up the gravy and then there is a layer on top to make this a decadent casserole. In between these layers, sausage is bathed in a creamy gravy that is homemade but super easy to make. No one will be able to have just one serving!

I grew up on southern style biscuits and gravy made by my father who grew up on the border of North Carolina and Virginia. My only suggestion is to try sage ground sausage rather than plain. Adds a little extra flavor that really makes the dish!

This looks like it would be so easy to bake and would be perfect to use for a casual brunch. I will have to come back to this recipe the next time I am having brunch at my house.

Canned biscuits? Seriously? This isn't cooking - this is throwing stuff in a pan that someone else cooked and put in a can. Sad.... very, very sad.

Did you really expect a recipe called "FOUR ingredient biscuits and gravy casserole" to have home made biscuits?? I'm not sure what fantasy world you live in, but maybe you need to calm down a little bit and get off your high horse.

This is so good. Both my husband and I love it. I can't believe I have been cooking all these years and never figured out to make gravy this way on my own! It is all but foolproof. This is a must try for anyone who loves this southern treat. We use the turkey sausage, too. We'll sometimes top with an egg.

This is NOT a "southern treat." No self-respecting southerner uses canned biscuits.
