Country Cottage Potato Casserole
Mix up all of the traditional mashed potato recipes with this Country Cottage Potato Casserole. With just a few delicious ingredients, you can easily make a side dish that will satisfy everyone at your table. The steps to creating this dish are easy. Simply mix mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, butter, and herbs, and bake. Once it's topped with melted Cheddar cheese, this can't be beat. Ingredients
- 2 cups hot mashed potatoes (don't add any milk or butter to the potatoes)
- 1 cup creamed cottage cheese
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon chives, chopped
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Combine potatoes, cottage cheese, butter, chives, salt and dill weed; mix thoroughly.

Spoon into one-quart casserole dish. Heat uncovered for about 20 minutes.

Five minutes before end of baking, sprinkle with Cheddar cheese.

What is creamed cottage cheese? And, the ingredient list doesn't state dillweed, yet it is called for in the directions. How much dillweed do I put in it. I want to make the recipe because it sounds delicious.
