High-Class Shepherd's Pie

High-Class Shepherd's Pie is not your average shepherd's pie recipe. It's similar, but a few details help improve it. The veggies are cooked to al dente instead of mush. I have been making Shepherd's Pie for decades and it is definitely one of my go to meals, especially in the winter. Technically, a shepherd's pie made with beef is actually called a Cottage Pie. The only shepherd's pie is made with lamb, so I guess this recipe should be changed to Cottage Pie. -)
