The Lekue Non Spill Silicone Lid has an ingenious design that keeps water and liquids from boiling over in a pan or pot. It is perfect to use when making pasta or heating food up in the microwave. 



This is no normal silicone food storage lid; it is specifically designed to act as a lid for cookware. Boiling pasta with a standard lid on can often be a problem, but this lid allows you to boil the water without closely monitoring the water level. Unlike most lids that trap liquids in a pot, this one allows some steam to escape which keeps liquids from boiling over the pot. It has four strategically placed slits and a curved shape that will hold in any liquids that boils over. 



The lid is designed to be easy to use. There are two grips on the sides of the lid that stay cool and allow you to take the lid off without worrying about getting burnt. It can also fit on any pan or pot between the sizes of 7" and 9". 



There are plenty of uses for this lid besides keeping your pasta water from getting all over you kitchen. I loved using it to keep food from splattering while heating in the microwave. It also worked well as a splatter guard while frying food.
