I know that nothing will compare to Macadamia nuts, but my daughter is severely allergic. I could replace them with peanuts, but they will never taste the same. Do you think I should omit them altogether or use something like pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds? Thanks, I love the taste of pina colada.

Hi SissieSass, I would leave them out altogether. --Kaitlin, AFCAS Editor

If she is not allergic to Brazil Nuts, I find they have the same type of crunch as Macadamia, just not the buttery flavor. In Wisconsin I can find them at Fleet Farm year round.
