Have you ever tried dark chocolate to cover the pretzels? My daughter and I both love dark chocolate, but I am not sure how well the dark chocolate will go with the pretzels. I wonder if the salt is enough to break it up enough or if the bitter of the chocolate and the coating on the pretzel will be too much bitterness together.

Hi SissieSass, we haven't tried this with dark chocolate, but since the recipe calls for semi-sweet chocolate, dark chocolate wouldn't be that much stronger. Plus, dark chocolate covered pretzels are sold in stores, so it must be a good combination! - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeCasseroleRecipes
