This sounds so good. I want to make it right now. Do you think I could substitute peanuts for the walnuts? My daughter is allergic to tree nuts. I was thinking that the best way to change it out would be to add honey roasted peanuts for that extra flavor.

I can't wait to make this cake! I love apples and anything caramel, so this will be a treat. Can you imagine how wonderful it will smell when it's baking? This is a dessert that will be great warm out of the oven (served with vanilla ice cream, of course!)
