I did not even know that a jarred carbonara sauce even existed - if it does, I bet it probably would not be that great. Carbonara is basically butter. freshly grated parmesan, cream, eggs, and pancetta (bacon). I don't think that I would trust eggs in a jar, and can imagine that the bacon would not be crispy.

This Buffalo Chicken Pasta Bake recipe looks simple and easy. What a great hot, homey meal for a weeknight! Pop it in the oven while the kids are doing homework and you can catch up on your own little jobs while it cooks. My question is, if your supermarket doesn't carry jarred alfredo sauce, can you substitute a carbonara jarred sauce instead?

Hi kenziewood07, I'm not sure how it would taste when combined with the buffalo sauce since carbonara sauce also has bacon, but it's worth a try! Otherwise any sort of jarred cream sauce would probably work. - Natalie, Editor of AllFreeCasseroleRecipes
