I know this Hot Pineapple Casserole looks like a dessert, and it very well could be served that way, but I have to tell you, I have made this as a side dish with a baked ham and it was absolutely marvelous. I always cook ham with sliced pineapple rings on top, and this was a great way to deliver that flavor on the side. Who knows, I may try this as a dessert some day.

I wasn't sure what to expect by the title. This is a dessert to me, like apple crisp. It's very tasty, the buttery crackers are a perfect touch of crunch. Most people around here don't think of a warm or cooked pineapple dish, except pineapple upside down cake. I'd like a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream on a warm bowl of this. Very good!

Hi Irwind, To add to this to your recipe box, you must first log in at the top of the screen. Then, select 'Add' in the toolbar located underneath the recipe title. This should add the recipe to your box. Hope this helps. Happy cooking! editors of AllFreeCasseroleRecipes
