Oh Yes this is truly a great Amish recipe! I was taught how to make these about 30 years ago from my husbands Grandma Yoder. I love these Amish Apple Dumplings. This recipe is spot on and this was never a desert, but served as a dinner. Everyone received a large apple dumpling with the sauce over top for dinner and it was more then enough. The Amish used this recipe when times got hard and it has stayed in the family for centuries. I make this recipe often in the fall and serve it with a slice of ham. Thank you so much for sharing this free recipe.
