When I think of a cobbler, peaches, blueberries, and even apples come to mind for a good down - home southern dessert. I absolutely love the idea of making a savory version! This one sort of reminds me of a harvest themed chicken pot pie, but without all the fuss of making and rolling out pie dough! The savory flavors of the mushrooms and herbs are great with the sweet butternut squash!
