We are in Southeast Texas and we tried this recipe tonight, and we did not like it at all. The re fried beans just did not belong. Frito pie is Frito's and chili with some chopped onions and cheddar cheese. One serving each and threw the rest away.

What a simple and yummy appetizer! I love any kind of taco related dip. Since football season is over, I will call this an appetizer for baseball game day! This would be a good side dish with chicken tacos, too. We have Mexican food a couple times a month, so we will be trying this very soon.

I have always wanted to try this dish, and now that I have a recipe I have to do it! I love that it looks super easy to make, too.

I grew up in Texas, and we had Frito Pie often. Mom did not add refried beans, so I will make this for a church potluck this Sunday, and add the refried beans to it. I already made the original version for a Seniors Potluck recently and the 9x13 pan was empty.

Just made this dish for dinner and I must tell you, Ralph had 3 helpings (so did I). I topped it with sour cream. Delish!!! Will be making this again!

This is outstanding!!! YUM
