Kitchen accessories, whether big or small, are always welcomed when it comes to cooking. These three items from Gourmac - Garlic Slicer, Julienne Shredder, and Prep Bowls - will help you in the kitchen as well as make your cooking experience even more enjoyable.
The garlic slicer is a handy 2-in-1 tool. One side shreds and the other side slices. Though I love working in the kitchen, I'm still a bit scared when it comes to knives and slicing. That's why I really like the garlic slicer's hand protector. I stuck the garlic in the hole, covered it with the hand proctor, and started shredding. I wasn't afraid of slicing my hand at all. I also enjoyed the slicer side. It works just like a mandolin, but it's small enough to handle garlic. What a handy 2-in-1 garlic tool.
The 4-in-1 julienne shredder is another cool gadget. My favorite function is the actual julienne shredder. It was so easy to shred carrots, and it was fun, too! I like to use thin strips of carrots in my stir-fries, and chopping them by hand takes so long. Using the julienne shredder, I shredded a whole carrot in about one minute. It was wonderful. This gadget can also core apples and score citrus fruits, and it comes with a decorator wedge.
I find prep bowls useful while cooking, and this 3-pack of prep bowls sizes 2, 4, and 8 ounces was no exception. The small one is handy for holding spices and herbs while the big one is handy for holding a chopped vegetable, such as a bell pepper or an onion. I'm glad that these bowls come with lids, as not all of my prep bowls do. They come in handy when I've chopped too much of something and need to save it for future use. When I'm not using them, they take up little space in my cabinets because they fit inside each other. I have a lot of kitchen accessories, so anything that saves space is appreciated.
