My wife got introduced to this recipe a few years ago, and it's been a Christmas standard around our house ever since. We've added nuts from time to time, and this year I think we'll follow Averie's suggestion and make a batch with some peanut butter chips mixed in with the chocolate chips. I'd also like to try making some with the Andes Mint chips since I think that would be even more addictive than the regular version.
