Do you leave the cream cheese out to soften at room temperature before adding to the mix or do you just add it in this recipe cold? I think this sounds like an excellent way to celebrate Fourth of July, Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, or Flag Day. I can see so many uses for this dessert, and it is so easy to make.
